El Departamento de Inglés del Colegio Técnico Agustiniano se ha comprometido año con año a buscar la manera de incentivar el uso del idioma por medio de actividades a gran escala, que involucren tanto a estudiantes como a profesores. Como es usual, el Spelling Bee o concurso de deletreo y el Impromptu Speech o discurso/exposición improvisada, se han llevado a cabo de la mejor manera, con responsabilidad y transparencia, para que estos procesos sigan teniendo credibilidad y así, más alumnos, año con año, se motiven y se integren a participar y competir.
De esta manera se da la bienvenida a la ronda final del Festival de Inglés 2023, con alumnos finalistas en Spelling Bee y Impromptu Speech. Podemos estar muy orgullosos de nuestros participantes de 7° a 12° grado. Son los mejores deletreadores y expositores de nuestro colegio.
La emocionante competencia de varias rondas eliminatorias vio a los concursantes luchando y preparándose, ya que fueron desafiados a deletrear palabras difíciles o a exponer sobre temas de actualidad y de interés social.
Aproximadamente 130 alumnos se anotaron a nuestro concurso y solo 16 han conseguido llegar a la gran final. Debemos tener en cuenta el hecho de que todos estos estudiantes tienen diferentes competencias en el idioma inglés.
Todos los alumnos han estado trabajando durante casi dos meses para intentar clasificar y llegar a la final y han conseguido nuestros objetivos: mejorar su inglés y dar siempre lo mejor de sí mismos.
Nuestro más profundo agradecimiento a los miembros del jurado Noelia Centeno, Eladio Garro y Marco Guillén. Gracias por su gran aporte al proceso y por sus consejos motivacionales a nuestros muchachos.

The English Department of the Augustinian Technical High School has made a commitment year after year to find ways to encourage the use of the language through large-scale activities that involve both students and teachers. As usual, the Spelling Bee and the Impromptu Speech have been carried out in the best way, with responsibility and transparency, so that these processes continue to have credibility and thus, more students, year with year, are motivated to be part of this competition.
In this way, the final round of the 2023 English Festival is welcomed, with finalist students in Spelling Bee and Impromptu Speech. We can be very proud of our 7th-12th grade participants. They are the best spellers and presenters in our school.
The exciting multi-round knockout competition saw contestants struggling and preparing as they were challenged to spell difficult words or speak on current affairs and social issues.
Approximately 130 students signed up for our contest and only 16 have managed to reach the grand final. We must take into account the fact that all these students have different proficiencies and competencies in the English language.
All the students have been working for almost two months to try to qualify and reach the final and have achieved our goals: improve their English and always give their best.
